¡I won... Air vases!

Deze week zat er een kadootje bij de post: ik won de mooie witte Air Vazen van de Give Away van My Attic en Kleur op Tafel. Wat ben ik daar blij mee, want ze stonden al zo lang op mijn wishlist!

Simpel en mooi en zelfs op een donkere dag als vandaag geven ze een mooi accent in huis.

ThanX My Attic en Kleur op Tafel!

This week I got a present by mail: I won the lovely white Air Vases from the Give Away by My Attic and Kleur op Tafel. I am so happy with them, because they were on my wish list for a long time! Simple and beautiful and even on a dark day like today they give. sparkle in my home. Now I will leave them like this, but I think this is a wonderful idea to use them as well.

¡Picture *LOVE*!

Hoe vaak kom je wel niet een foto tegen waar je meteen verliefd op bent en die je graag met iedereen wil delen.... Picture *LOVE* is een nieuw initiatief van Stephanie Koster van COOS-JE. ¡Muy Bien! is bedoeld om jullie te inspireren, dus vanaf nu zal ik ook regelmatig een Picture *LOVE* op mijn blog plaatsen en vertellen waarom het een favoriete foto is.

Sinds Lisanne van der Klift deze mooie foto plaatste op haar blog, ben ik fan.

Hier in de buurt zie ik ze regelmatig in de berm staan, maar meenemen zonder dat de pluisjes wegwaaien, lijkt redelijk onmogelijk. Lisanne is het wel gelukt en ze maakte er een mooi hoekje mee. Dit is mijn favoriete foto uit de serie, maar ook de anderen zijn plaatjes.

Lisanne van der Klift made this lovely picture, and I am a big fan of it. Near my house they bloom, but it is difficult to take them home without loosing a part of them. Ik ben dol op alle mooie handmade ontwerpen die je steeds meer ziet.
Fan van Latijns Amerika als ik ben, viel ik meteen voor de mooie DIY pop van Frida Kahlo van Miko design.

Goede reden om op verder te kijken op internet en wat blijkt: er wordt nog veel meer moois gemaakt! Naast de Frida Kahlo serie, zijn vooral de "Parijse" ontwerpen die maken dat ik helemaal zin in vakantie krijg.

Gelukkig worden ze o.a. bij Boemerang in Den Haag verkocht, maar anders is de webshop of de Etsy shop een goed alternatief.

I love handmade design, which you see more often. Because I am a Latin America fan, I was in love with this nice DIY Frids Kahlo doll, designed by Miko design. WSo I went looking on Internet and it turned out that you can find lots of other nice designs. Next to Frida Kahlo are the "Paris" designs are my favourites. They feels like holidays. Fortunately the designs are sold near to my home at Boemerang in The Hague. Otherwise you can buy them online in their webshop or Etsy shop.

De afgelopen weken spatte de kleur van mijn blogposts af. Ik word er altijd heel blij van, net als van simpel, stoer, industrieel, hout en…. Wit Keramiek!

Een paar jaar geleden deed ik een workshop bij Judith Bloedjes. Zij maakt niet alleen mooie woonaccessoires, maar ook prachtige sieraden met porselein.

Last weeks, my blogposts were filled with colour. I always get very happy of it, just like simple, rough, industrial, wood and.... White Ceramic! Even if it is a grater from Dille & Kamille, a teapot and cups by Ikea, I always have a crush on them. So today a lot of white inspiration because there are a lot of webshops which sell very nice items. A few years ago, I followed a workshop by Judith Bloedjes. She doesn't only make lovely living accessories, but even very nice jewels from porcelain. And allthoug I have a great collection, these wannahaves are high on my wish list.

¡Shops to inspire: Betjeman & Barton!

Al zo lang als ze in Den Haag gevestigd zijn ben ik fan van de theewinkel Betjeman & Barton. Ooit begonnen op de Frederikstraat en via daar verhuisd naar de Denneweg, waar ze een prachtige winkel hebben. Sinds twee jaar is er een tweede winkel in Den Haag, in prachtig stoer pand aan de Aert van de Goesstraat.

 

Natuurlijk draait het om thee in de winkels van Marion van den Blik, maar Oh wat zijn er nog veel meer leuke spullen te koop!

 

Mijn verzameling theeblikken is inmiddels zo groot dat ik er een verhuisdoos mee kan vullen. Favoriet zijn: Hanami, Le Mien (met prachtige rozenbladeren), Inédit, Les Invités en in de winter: Christmas tea, Luxury tea en Il était une fois Noël...

Zelfs al zijn ze dicht, dan zijn de etalages een feestje.

In Parijs zit de hoofd vestiging. Ik ben er nog nooit geweest, maar ik ben heel benieuwd of de winkel daar ook zo inspirerend is...

P.s. Het goede nieuws voor iedereen die niet in Den Haag woont: er is ook een webshop en de thee wordt in restaurants in heel Nederland geschonken. Daarnaast zijn er in de Nederland verschillende winkels die de thee verkopen (zie website).

Since Betjeman & Barton are selling their tea in The Hague, I am a fan of the delicious tea and very inspiring shops. Marion van den Blik started her shop in the Frederikstraat and went on to the Denneweg, where she has a lovely styled shop. Since two years, she started a second store at the Aert van de Goesstraat, in a very authentic building. Of course everything is about tea in the shops, but they even sell lots of nice other things. I have a great collection of tins with Betjeman & Barton tea. My favourites: Hanami, Le Mien (with rose petals), Inédit, Les Invités and during winter: Christmas tea, Luxury tea and Il était une fois Noël... Even when the shop is closed, you can do some nice windowshopping. Their homestore is in Paris, I have never visited it, but I am wondering if it has the same inspiration... The good news: the tea is sold in their webshop and you can drink it in lots of stay restaurants in the Netherlands. For more I formation and selling points: visit the website!
