Keramiek is één van de oudste
ambachten in de wereld dat je overal tegenkomt. Maar wat je ook
overal ter wereld tegenkomt, is een samenleving waarin technologie de
hoofdrol speelt. Iedereen heeft wel een smartphone of tablet en ook
kunstenaars worden daardoor beïnvloed.

Ann
van Hoey combineert deze twee werelden in haar prachtige
ontwerpen Social Clay. Ze vind het een uitdaging de moderne, zeer
snelle technologische lifestyle van nu, te combineren met het
ambachtelijke en nauwgezetheid van keramiek. Ik vind de vormen en
teksten geweldig. Op de wishlist!
Everyone
knows that I love ceramics. Ceramic is one of the oldest professions
in the world, which you find everywhere. But what is alos everywhere
at the world is a fast changing society in which technology controls
our daily lives. Everyone has a smartphone or tablet and even
ceramists are influenced by it. Ann
van Hoey makes a combination of these both worlds in her
beautiful designs: Social Works. It is a challenge to her to
integrate the modern, very fast, technological lifestyle into the
slow, meticulous craft of ceramics. I love the sculptures and texts
on it. At my wishlist!
