My
all-time favourite movie is Out of Africa! Don't know how much times
I saw it. Not only for the beautiful story, but of course for the
lovely safari style decorated homes. I love the brown colors and the
use of natural materials.
One of my favourites are the safari chairs.
Kaare Klint designed a beautiful chair, made of leather and wood,
which is still a design classic, although the design is almost a
hundred years old. Would be great to have this chair at home, for a
summer safari feeling.
Maybe I should start looking for a second hand
one....

jaren is Out of Africa mijn lievelings film. Geen idee hoe vaak ik de
film al gezien heb, maar hij blijft me boeien. Niet alleen vanwege
het mooie verhaal, maar vooral vanwege het prachtige meubilair in
safari stijl. Een van mijn favoriete meubelstukken is de safari
stoel. Kaare Klint ontwierp een prachtige stoel, gemaakt van leer en
hout, die nog steeds een design klassiek is, ook als is het onderwerp
al bijna honderd jaar oud. Wat zou het leuk zijn zo'n mooie stoel
thuis the hebben voor het zomerse safari gevoel. Misschien toch maar
eens op zoek gaan naar een tweedehands vondst...
